Hello Lovely People,
It has been quite a while since my last update due to exciting events and travels! Much to our disbelief, just a matter of days ago we were on U.S. soil. We visited the good ol' toasty Tucson for a little under two weeks to witness my beautiful sister get married. There was also the huge added bonus of getting to see family and friends. It was surprising to observe how many things have grown and changed during the 6 months we've been away in Austria. This included renovations to my parents house, new faces at our church and college group, and of course the adorable developments with my charming nieces (yes this is shameless proud aunt spamming).
It was such a blessing to receive prayer and encouragement from friends and family while we were in Tucson. Even though occasionally it felt like a whirlwind event and we missed our house community in Salzburg, it was such an honor and a delight to see my sister Emilie say yes to one of the greatest guys around.
Now we are back in Austria and spending a little time with Micah's parents who live in an area close by to us. We are recovering from jet lag and celebrating the beautiful work of Jesus our savior. Praise the Lord for his unending love and tender mercies!
Happy Easter and Much Love,
-Rachael
The pictures above are from a little town close to where we are staying called Enns. Apparently it is the oldest city in Austria! There was an ancient church and a lovely castle visited by Napoleon Bonaparte himself.
