The holiday season is approaching and Salzburg seems to be changing. Lights are getting strung all over the city and bustling Christmas markets are popping up in the main square. The chilly weather is making us all bundle up in multiple layers. It is beautiful and fun to see the streets full of people from all over drinking steaming cups of cider or a beverage called Glühwein (a type of mulled hot wine) , singing carols, and noshing on tasty winter time treats.
This past weekend we took a break from Street Buddies to spend time with Jonathan's uncle who payed us a visit. It was lovely to be with family and show him our new life in Austria. We also traveled to a small town called Mauthausen which is where Jonathan and Abby had been before on missions trips these past two summers. Melia and Micah lived there before they were in Salzburg and Melia started a gospel choir. The gospel choir was singing at the local Christmas market and Melia was doing some solo pieces. So our whole household jumped on a train and went to Mauthausen to watch the performance and to reconnect with the people there. It was a glorious evening filled with gospel music and relationship!

I got to meet several of the sweet people that Jonathan had gotten to know on his past trips. It was also powerful to hear so many people singing praises to God. This week we're looking forward to hanging out with folks from Agape and getting back to the Rudolfskai. We're excited to embrace another week of adventure.
Love and blessing to you all!
